Checklist

Most airport morning panics come down to the same few things: a passport in the wrong bag, the wrong terminal or too many cases for the car. Tick through this list and you will be ready when the driver knocks.

Door list: before the car arrives

Too many bags?

Tell us when you book. A saloon takes two large cases, an estate takes four and our minibuses take a case each. Our luggage guide helps you pick.

The night before

Check in online if your airline allows it, download boarding passes to your phone and check your terminal. Put everything for the car bag in one place by the door, with phone chargers. Check the pickup time in your confirmation and set an alarm 15 minutes before.

When the driver arrives

The driver messages you when they are close. Bring the cases out and the driver loads them; you keep the car bag with you. Do one last check: passports, phone, keys. Then sit back, as the driver takes you to the right terminal.

Coming home

Book the return at the same time, with your flight number, so the car is there when you actually land. Keep the house keys in the car bag, not in a case, so you are not searching on the doorstep after a long flight.
