Manchester Airport Terminal 2 pick-up point: where to meet your car
Landing at Terminal 2?
Terminal guide
Terminal 2 is now where most Manchester flights land, so it is where most of our pick-ups happen. Cars cannot wait at the kerb outside arrivals, which is why "where do I meet my driver?" is the question we hear most. This guide walks you from the aircraft door to the car seat.
Terminal 2 arrivals at a glance
A simple diagram, not to scale. Follow the airport signs on the day, as layouts can change during building work.
- Pick-up
Arrivals hall
With meet & greet (£5), your driver waits here holding a name board, then walks you and your bags to the car. Best for first visits, families and late landings.
- Pick-up
Short-stay car park
With standard pick-up, the driver parks in the terminal car park. When you have your bags, call or message them and they tell you the level and row.

Kerbside outside arrivals
No waiting here. Cars are not allowed to stop and wait outside the arrivals doors, so please do not stand at the kerb looking for your car.

The Station
The rail and tram station is linked to the terminals by covered walkways. It is a handy, well-signed landmark if you and your driver need somewhere to meet.

Terminal 3
Flying Ryanair? You will land at Terminal 3, not Terminal 2. Check your booking so we send the driver to the right building.

Step by step
- Switch your phone on as soon as you land. Your driver may already have messaged you.
- Go through passport control and collect your bags. On a busy day this takes anywhere from 15 minutes to over an hour, and we plan for it.
- Meet & greet: walk out into the arrivals hall and look for your name. Standard pick-up: call or message the driver now.
- Follow the signs for the car park the driver names, or meet at the agreed landmark.

What if my flight is late or early?
Put your flight number in the booking. We follow the flight, so the driver adjusts to the real landing time and you do not need to ring us from the plane. The fixed price you booked does not change because of a normal delay.
What does pick-up cost?
Your price is fixed when you book. Meet & greet adds £5 and child seats are free. If any parking charge applies to your pick-up, we tell you before you book, so the price on screen is the price you pay.
Meet & greet or standard pick-up?
Standard pick-up is the lower price and works well if you know the airport and travel light. You call the driver once you have your bags, then walk to the car park. Meet & greet costs £5 more and is the one we suggest for first visits, families with young children, older passengers and anyone landing late at night. The driver is waiting in the arrivals hall when you walk out, so there is nothing to find.
If you cannot find your driver
Stay inside the terminal where it is warm and dry, call the driver on the number in your confirmation and tell them what you can see, such as a shop, a café or a numbered exit. If you cannot reach them, call our office on 0161 660 4006. We can see where the car is and talk you both to the same spot.
