Our fleet

Start with two numbers: how many people, and how much luggage. Count everyone, including babies, and count pushchairs, golf bags and car seats as well as cases. As a rough guide, allow one large case and one small bag per passenger. When you book, the form only shows vehicles that fit your numbers.

Which size

A saloon takes one or two passengers, or three with light bags. An estate has the same seats with a bigger boot. A people carrier takes five with holiday luggage. Our executive car (Mercedes E-Class or similar) and S-Class (or similar) are for business and VIP travel and long runs, the V-Class (or similar) carries small groups in comfort, and the 8 seater and 16 seater are for groups and teams; see minibus hire.

If you are close to the limit, go up a size. Holiday luggage almost always grows.

Longer trips

For a twenty-minute airport run a saloon or estate does the job. For four hours to Heathrow or Southampton, more room makes a real difference, and drivers will stop for a break if you ask. Our guide to travelling with lots of luggage has more detail.

Child seats and access

Baby seats, child seats and booster seats are free; read more about child seats in private hire cars. Folding wheelchairs, walkers and folding scooters usually fit in an estate or people carrier, and assistance dogs travel free. For anything unusual, add a note with the rough size, or call 0161 660 4006 before you book online.

Looking after the cars

Every car is licensed for private hire, insured and cleaned before each job. Models change over time, which is why we say “or similar”: you get the same class and size of car, with the same seats and boot space.
